Accessibility Statement

WatchMyTech is committed to making our website usable for as many people as possible, whatever technology or ability they bring to it. We treat accessibility as an ongoing part of how we build and maintain the site, not a one-off task.

Our conformance target

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA, and we take account of relevant criteria from the newer WCAG 2.2 where they apply. At present we consider the site to be partially conformant: most of it meets these standards, but some areas are still being reviewed and improved.

What we've done

• Reduced motion. If your device or browser is set to reduce motion, animations across the site stop and the scrolling promotional banner is frozen entirely. The banner also pauses whenever you hover over it or move keyboard focus to it, so you can read it at your own pace.
• Keyboard access. The site can be operated with a keyboard alone. Interactive elements show a clear focus outline so you can see where you are, the navigation menu opens and closes from the keyboard and closes with the Escape key, and focus moves in a logical order.
• Screen reader support. The navigation menu tells assistive technology whether it is open or closed. The moving promotional banner is announced once rather than repeatedly, and purely decorative icons and symbols are hidden so they aren't read aloud.
• Skip link and landmarks. A “skip to content” link and landmark regions on our main pages let keyboard and screen-reader users jump straight past the navigation to the content.
• Expandable sections. Collapsible content such as our FAQs tells assistive technology whether each section is open or closed.
• Colour and contrast. Text colours have been reviewed to meet the AA contrast ratio against their backgrounds.
• Clear structure. Pages use a logical heading order, descriptive link text, and proper list markup so grouped information is announced correctly.

Known limitations

We want to be honest about where we still have work to do:

• Some pages and older sections of the site have not yet been fully reviewed and may not meet every criterion.
• Content provided by third parties, or embedded from external services, may not be fully under our control.
• The promotional banner can currently be paused by hovering or focusing it; a dedicated visible pause button is on our roadmap.
• The site has not yet undergone a formal independent accessibility audit.

We are working to address these as part of our ongoing development.

How we assessed the site

This statement is based on our own review, using a combination of manual keyboard testing, screen-reader checks, and colour-contrast evaluation. It is not the result of a formal third-party audit.

Compatibility

The site is designed to work with recent versions of the major browsers (Chrome, Edge, Firefox, and Safari) and common assistive technologies. For the best experience we recommend keeping your browser and any assistive software up to date.
